Common questions
How do I know if my brakes need work?
Common signs are squeaking or grinding, a pulsing or vibrating pedal, the car pulling to one side when braking, a soft or low pedal, a brake warning light, or simply longer stopping distances. If you notice any of these, come in for a free brake inspection.
Is the brake inspection really free?
Yes. We inspect pads, rotors, calipers, fluid and lines at no charge and with no obligation. If your brakes are safe, we will tell you so.
What does the $229.99 brake special include?
It is priced per axle (front or rear) for passenger cars, and rotor turning is included if your rotors are in good condition. If rotors need replacing we quote that separately before any work is done.
Do I always need new rotors with new pads?
No. If the rotors are thick enough and not warped or scored, they can usually be resurfaced (turned) and reused. We measure them and tell you either way.
How long does brake service take?
Most pad-and-rotor jobs are done the same day, often in a couple of hours. Call ahead and we will give you a realistic time for your vehicle.
